​How the complaints process works
The Registration Authority receives a complaint against an engineer
The engineer is advised of the complaint and is asked to respond by a Complaints Research Officer
 A decision on the complaint is made by an Adjuducator
The decision is sent to both parties
 An Investigating Committee considers the complaint further
The committee makes a decision on taking the complaint through to a disciplinary hearing. 
The decision is sent to both parties
 If progressed, a disciplinary hearing is arranged with both parties invited to attend and provide further material
 If the complaint is upheld penalties for the engineer are determined by the Disciplinary Committee
Both parties are sent a summary of the decision
Either party can appeal any decision made throughout the process
